Our breeding goal is a powerful, supple sport horse with well-separated gaits, spacious movements and an excellent character.
Stallions for stud
We offer stallions for stud that have proven themselves with an inspection result well above 8, as well as in the sport. In addition, the stallion must pass on his qualities sufficiently to his offspring. Many well-known top sires such as Atli frá Norður-Hvammi and Hringur frá Fossi came to Strandhólar. Sometimes we have a 'new kid on the block', a young stallion in whom we see a lot of potential with our experience and who has been approved for stud service with a 1st premium at the young stallion inspection.
